Everyone is doing their best to help contain the spread of the beast that is illegal street racing and reckless driving.
Politicians across the aisle are consistently introducing new legislation aimed at not only illegal street racing and reckless driving but also the other elements that feed into it. These laws impose fines and penalties upon passengers, spectators and most recently, Nevada Senate Bill 80 became a law making it illegal to modify a vehicle’s emissions system. Modified exhausts are a performance enhancement tool used primarily by illegal street racers to boost their engine’s performance thus increasing the horsepower and speed of their vehicles.
Law enforcement agencies are using new technologies – stealth cars, sports cars, helicopters and drones – along with tried and true good old fashioned patrol, presence and detective work.
Parents and Guardians are enrolling their young adults into traditional driver education classes as well as into our awareness and prevention course, “Share Straight Truth Course”.
But still…more help is needed.
There is a spiritual agenda that is employing Deception, Seduction and Ignorance to weaken the souls and influence the actions of young adults.
Today, we are calling on the Religious Communities to join in the fight against the Death and Destruction that are devouring the lives and frustrating the futures of young adults. In 2023, 39% (more than ⅓) of young men, ages 15 -20, who were involved in fatal car crashes were speeding.
If we look at the strategy of ignorance, we will see that all young adults know that speeding increases the risk for car crash and that a car crash can result in death. However, if we personalize this and ask these same young adults (who are actively involved in illegal street racing & reckless driving) “will you die in a car crash” the overwhelming majority answer “no”. Why? Because they are ignorant of their own ivincibility and mortality. That ignorance persists, irrespective of laws, fines, imprisonment and tutorials – UNTIL its ruinous results reach them.
Or until their eyes, hearts, minds and souls are healthy to hear and handle the truth.
The souls of young adults need healing that, while being beyond the reach and scope of politicians and law enforcement officers, IS within the authority and power of the religious community. Some things can only come out by prayer, by fasting and by agreement. Some battles have to be won in the spirit first before we see the win in the physical. We need those to be Positioned In Prayer.
For you who know the power of prayer, we are asking that the burden to eradicate illegal street racing and reckless driving amongst young adults in prayer and fasting, come upon you.
We are asking that Young Adult Ministries, Night Outs, Workshops and Outreach become places where Illegal Street Racing & Reckless Driving are discussed in Truth and Power.
